Our Story

In January 2015, Vincent and Bryan were hanging out at the latter’s RV. Vincent recently got his first camera, a Nikon D3300, and took photos of cosplayers at Anime Los Angeles. Surprised by the positive feedback he received, he decided to create a name for himself. Vincent and Bryan were watching Bakemonogatari as they discussed possible names. “What about Bakephotogatari?” And thus the name Bakephotogatari Photography was born. They enlisted Nicole, a fellow Cal Animage Epsilon club member, to create the logo based off of Bakemonogatari’s logo and business cards. From then on out, the three of them became a team focusing on cosplay photography on site at conventions as well as off-site on location.
