Cassie reached out to me after AX asking if I could shoot her Maka Albarn cosplay somewhere not at a con. We discussed possible locations and decided that the park near my house would best suit the setting of the series because of its colonial-esque tones. She also brought the scythe that she and her dad built.

Protip: having a prop of some sort always helps if you don’t know what to pose! It doesn’t have to be a weapon of this size — even a small plushie helps!

We were able to get some action shots and jacket flip as Cassie channeled her inner Maka. Definitely a challenge to get right, but it’s worth it in the end! Check them out below:
